Service Types

Note that all our main services begin at 11.00 am and last for about an hour with refreshements served afterwards.

All Age Service

Very informal service at the back of the Church, surrounding the children sitting at a table. This service always has elements for all the family to join in with. The music will usually be Keyboard and violin, with contemporary worship songs, some traditional and something for the children.

Parish Communion

This is a more formal service from a Parish Communion booklet with a sermon.  Parts of the service  are sung along with more traditional hymns.  

Holy Communion

At 8.00 am, either a version of Parish Communion or from the Book Common Prayer, with a short sermon. The service lasts for about 40 minutes.

Morning Worship

A less formal service where a sermon is preached and music is both traditional and modern.

Matins

A formal service from the Book Common Prayer, a sermon is preached and traditional hymns are sung

Midweek Worship and Communion

A short informal service generally in the Vicarage.  Starts with coffee and chat and the service last for about a half hour.

Fifth Sunday

A joint service with Christ Church Worton and Marston, begins with breakfast at 9am and worship at 10am. Good for all the family.  Alternates between St.Mary's and Christ Church.

We have a partiularly fine organ (and organist) for those who appreciate tradional church music.
